Plant-specific capex was not found from the owner/developer, but NSW Government disclosed an estimated capital expenditure of $3.8 billion for the Lake Victoria Wind Farm proposal in February 2025, with installed capacity up to about 1,000 MW and up to three BESS totalling 1,500 MWh. Because the requested site name appears to map to the Lake Victoria Wind Farm proposal and no separate DUID-specific capex was located, the reported project capex is used as the best available greenfield estimate. AEMO/Aurecon 2024 onshore wind benchmark was used only for O&M and technical assumptions. The benchmark report shows onshore wind capex of $3,050/kW, total cost $1.891bn for a 620 MW hypothetical project, fixed O&M $28,000/MW-year, economic life 20-25 years, and technical life 30-35 years.
