Financial overview

2026 real AUD. Monetary values are CPI-adjusted to 2026 real Australian dollars. Greenfield capex uses AEMO benchmarks when plant-specific cost is unknown.

Capex total (greenfield)
$91.16M

Shown in table
$91.16M (2026 real AUD)

Reported / source value
$66.00M (2016 nominal)
Adjusted to 2026 real AUD using Australian CPI (All Groups).

How this was derived
The official announcement is a plans/investigation release and does not disclose a capex figure.

Shown in table
$1.52M (2026 real AUD)

Reported / source value
$1.10M (2016 nominal)
Adjusted to 2026 real AUD using Australian CPI (All Groups).

Fixed OPEX (annual)
$1.49M

Shown in table
$1.49M (2026 real AUD)

Reported / source value
$1.08M (2016 nominal)
Adjusted to 2026 real AUD using Australian CPI (All Groups).

Fixed OPEX / MW-yr
$24,862

Shown in table
$24.9k (2026 real AUD)

Reported / source value
$18.0k (2016 nominal)
Adjusted to 2026 real AUD using Australian CPI (All Groups).

How this was derived
Utility-scale solar PV O&M benchmark table provides fixed O&M values by configuration; I used the fixed-tilt solar PV default already supplied by the server-side fallback.

Variable OPEX / MWh
$0.28

Shown in table
$0.28 (2026 real AUD)

Reported / source value
$0.20 (2016 nominal)
Adjusted to 2026 real AUD using Australian CPI (All Groups).

How this was derived
The solar PV benchmark source was used for operating assumptions; the specific extracted variable O&M line was not clearly visible in the returned snippet, so confidence is medium.

Notes
I found TerraCom’s 2016 announcement that it planned to investigate a 60 MW solar power station at Blair Athol, and TerraCom still describes Blair Athol as an operational mine site. However, I did not find a project-specific construction/investment cost for the solar station in official owner, government, or finance sources, so capex remains unfilled rather than using a benchmark as reported capex. O&M and performance defaults were therefore used from AEMO/Aurecon 2024 utility-scale solar PV benchmark assumptions.
