The capex figure is from a 2021 media report quoting CEP Energy's stated $2.4bn battery project cost for Kurri Kurri; this appears to refer to the original greenfield project announcement and matches the 1,200 MW concept widely reported in 2021, not the later 200 MW / 800 MWh planning application.
