EnergyAustralia states Hallett BESS is an initial 50 MW / 245 MWh first stage, with planning approval already in place for a future second stage taking the total site ambition to 200 MW. As of the sourced materials, no plant-specific total project investment/capex figure was located in official owner/government sources, so capex was left unset rather than inferred from benchmarks. The project reached financial close on 13 February 2026 and commercial operations are expected in mid-2027 / 2027.
